Two in Yumbe Arrested for Murder

Two men are in police custody for allegedly murdering a man in Yumbe District. Joel Agazu, and Bernard Bakole, both residents of Paladru village in Drajini Sub-county waylaid Caesar Okuma, as he returned home from a nearby trading center. Joseph Obwona, the West Nile Regional Investigations Officer, says the duo beat and killed Okuma and dumped his body in a stream. Obwona says the motive of the murder is not yet known. But some people believe the death is a result from land related wrangles. The two suspects have been transferred to Arua awaiting arraignment in court. Police have recorded more than 30 criminal cases throughout West Nile in the past one week.
