The transfer decision has been reversed, after some of the Permanent Secretaries had already handed over offices.
Earlier this month, President Museveni through the head of Public Service, John Mitala transferred several Permanent Secretaries.
At the time of rescinding the transfers, most of the affected accounting officers had already handed over their officers to the incoming technocrats.
A communication from the Public Relations Office of the judiciary says Dorcus Okalany, who had been transferred to Ministry of Local Government returns to the judiciary docket.
"Dear colleagues, please note that the recent transfers of Permanent Secretaries by President Museveni have been cancelled. Dorcas Okalany (Secretary to Judiciary) should be returning to office by January 12, 2016 after her annual leave..." reads in part the communication from the office of the Public Relations of the Judiciary to journalists last night.
This is the second time in about six months that the transfer of Mrs Okalany, the Secretary to Judiciary is cancelled.
When URN contacted Mitala, the head of civil service over the cancellation of these transfers, he could neither deny nor confirm the development.
He briefly added that he does not discuss such developments with the media.
Some of the affected accounting officers in the transfer announced last week included Dorcas Okalany who had been transferred from Judiciary to Local Government Ministry, Dr Nassali Lukwago had been transferred from Education Ministry to Judiciary.
Steven Kagoda had been transferred to Education Ministry to replace Dr. Nassali from the Internal Affairs, among others.
