Three people have been killed and 27 others injured in a motor accident in Mabira Forest. The accident occurred this morning, when Kampala bound coaster from Tororo collided with a trailer, in Mabira forest, along the Kampala-Jinja Highway. The coaster registration number UAE 315L was carrying students from Tororo to Kampala, when it lost control and rammed into a trailer, killing three people on the spot and injuring 27 others. The dead are Deo Ssentamu, the Director of Green Hill College, Salume Adikinyi, a student of Green Hill College and the driver of the coaster, whose identity was not readily available. The injured, all students of Green Hill College in Namawojolo, Mukono have been admitted in Jinja Referral Hospital with multiple injuries. Frank Ssekaja, a Teacher of Green Hill College who survived the accident, explains that the driver of the coaster bus was trying to dodge a saloon car, when he lost control and rammed into the trailer. Ssekaja says the victims of the accidents are orphans who are supported by a Tororo based charity, Adhola Orphans Project and were heading back to school for the second term.
