The deceased was killed early this month during protests that were staged by Makerere university students against Retake fees. The post mortem report prepared on November 11, by Dr. Nabadda and Dr. Nekesa ruled out a possibility of bullet shots. The report indicates there were no entry and exit wounds. Bullets are not known to cause depressions. The report said that the late Sengendo died of extensive bleeding under the scalp after he fell off from a boda motorcycle at Nakulabye and was stampeded upon by rioting students.
