A fight between two policemen for the love of a woman has ended in the death of one of them. Moses Okullo, a police constable at Apac Central Police Station, was shot dead by his wife's lover last night. Lawrence Ogole, the Apac District Commander, says Okullo was surprised when he returned home at about midnight and found his wife, Evelyn Aciro, in bed with another man. He was even more shocked to discover that the man in his bed was a fellow policeman, James Odongo. Aciro told investigators that Odong grabbed a gun that her husband was carrying and in the scuffle, he shot and killed Okullo. A bullet also caught Aciro in the hand and left thigh. She is admitted at Apac Hospital. Ogole says James Odongo was recently suspended from the police force for indiscipline. He says Odongo was found early today hiding out Aduku Township. Moses Okullu's body was taken to his home village in Akot where he will be buried on New Year's Eve.
