Roads in the centre of Kampala are open again a day after they were closed for the start of the East African Arts and Culture Festival.
A series of events are lined up for the third edition of the regional festival.

The JAMAFEST 2017 will run until September 14. It has attracted cultural dancers and exhibitors from Uganda, Burundi, Tanzania, Rwanda and Kenya with the aim of promoting the African culture in the continent and the whole world.

At the opening ceremony today, there was low turn up at the regional event with several people blaming poor publicity by the Ministry of Gender.

URN brings you the story in pictures.
