Comments 1336 Views Kampala, Uganda

Christians under the Uganda Joint Christian Council (UJCC) observed the Way of the Cross ahead of Easter celebrations on Sunday.

The Good Friday celebration of the ecumenical public way of the cross 2018 was held under the theme "Courage, the Lord is our strength and guide". Hundreds of Christians walked from the Anglican, Catholic and Orthodox churches and converged at Old Kampala Secondary School Playground for joint prayers.

The prayers were attended by the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda His Grace Stanley Ntagali, Bishop Hannington Mutebi, Kampala Archbishop Dr Cyprian Kizito Lwanga, Father Emmanuel Ssekyewa from the Orthodox Church in Namungoona and others.
