Jacob Oboth Oboth who last week lost his parliamentary seat in a court petition, clashed with his political nemesis Dr. Emmanuel Otaala (NRM), former state minister for labour after they met at the chief magistrates chambers on Monday.

The two who do not see eye to eye since the NRM primaries, had gone to the chambers to pick their typed certified copies of the judgment and court proceedings of the election petition filed by Dr. Otaala.

On Friday, The High court presided over by Justice Rugadya Albert Atwooki, overturned Oboth Oboth’s victory on grounds that the Electoral disfranchised voters.

Oboth Oboth accused his rival of spreading misleading propaganda just after the judgment that the court had declared him an MP- elect as they wait for fresh elections.

Oboth Oboth (independent) who has maintained his stand to appeal against the judgment said Dr. Otaala shall never regained the seat he had lost in the February 18th polls.

Dr. Otaala described his opponent’s move as cowardice and misdirected.

He says last week’s victory in court against his opponent has re- energized him to start mobilizing his supporters ahead of the by- elections.

The situation was calmed down by the Chief Magistrate Gabriel Angualia who counseled both charged parties and advised them to be peaceful.
