In short
Each consulting doctor is expected to pay an annual practicing license of 200,000 shillings to the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council. If they own a private health care facility, they pay another fee for the facility depending on its location to the same council. In addition to both fees, Uganda Revenue Authority takes 30 of their profits in taxes. On top of this, they also pay trading licences and local service tax for each employee hired.
