Chief Magistrate's court in Jinja has issued criminal summons for Christopher Aine, a campaign body guard to Independent presidential aspirant Amama Mbabazi, on four counts of criminal cases.

Christopher Aine is accused of disobeying lawful orders, assault, obstruction and resisting arrest while in Jinja. The cases were committed in September, 2015 when Mbabazi was barred from accessing Kazimingi grounds in Jinja for a consultative meeting.

The criminal summon document dated January 7th 2016 was issued on the application by prosecution for Christopher Aine to appear before court on February 24th 2016.

Christopher Aine went missing on December 14th, 2015 following a brawl between NRM and Go-Forward enthusiasts in Ntugamo district.

Police last week placed a 20 million Shillings bounty for information leading to his arrest, accusing him of assaulting police officers in Jinja and beating NRM supporters in Ntungamo last year. However, his whereabouts remain a mystery as all camps accuse each other of hiding Aine.

Amama Mbabazi's lawyers Fred Muwema and Severino Twinobusingye have accused police of Aine's disappearance.
