Justice Faith Mwondah, the Inspector General of Government says she needs no allies to fight corruption in Uganda. During a symposium held at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala, Mwondah said that she is executing a divine duty to fight corruption and needs the Holy Spirit as her sole ally. Mwonda said she would not form alliances with the auditor general's office or the public accounts committee of parliament because her office has its own regulations to follow. //Cue in: iThe inspectorate# Cue out: #lying there.i// Recently, Nandala Mafabi, the chairperson of the public accounts committee said his committee is frustrated by the slow pace at which police investigations are carried out. He said that he was planning to team up with the IGG's office to investigate the corruption cases. But Mwonda argued that the effective fight against corruption can only be fought through a review of the regulations governing parliament, judiciary and the executive.
