The Forum for Democratic Change-FDC party has dragged the Movement's spokesperson, Ofwono Opondo, to police for theft. The FDC claims that Opondo has knowledge of an incident in which unknown thugs broke into Louis Otika's car in Ntinda, and stole vital documents which included four cheque books, two ATM cards, a bank passbook and a bunch of keys that also contained two duplicate keys of the FDC offices in Najjanankumbi. The Party Vice Chairman, Salaamu Musumba, says that the incident in which Opondo is considered prime suspect took place on May 21st. // Cue in iThere is a statement#i Cue out i#what to do. // The Kiira Road District Police commander, Patrick Echeku, says that Otika filed a theft complaint with police, but did not mention any loss of any documents. He however says that Otika returned to the police station later on Monday, brandishing a copy of the New Vision news paper which quoted Ofondo, alluding to the minutes of an FDC meeting. He claimed that the minutes were part of the documents stolen from the car. Musumba says that the minutes quoted by Opondo were accurate. // Cue in iWhat is true#i Cue out i# of a robbery.// Opondo has scoffed FDC's claims as baseless. // Cue in iOtika being#i Cue outi#their mind.//
