Semuga show ground became a scene of chaos last night when Bebe Cool and Jose Chameleon failed to show up for a musical show, at the ground in Kiboga. The two popular local artists had been expected to perform at Semuga grounds, but didn't show up at the last hour. Trouble started at around 10pm, when it emerged that Chameleon who had staged another show in Kiboga town had returned to Kampala, and wouldn't perform as had been advertised. Angry revelers who had packed Semuga grounds to capacity started throwing stones at the organizers demanding, that they money be refunded. Each of the revelers, who were in their hundreds had paid shilling 5000 as entrance to the aborted show. Junior singers who were still on stage entertaining the revelers were also pelted with stones forcing the police to intervene and disperse the revelers. Police ordered the revelers to leave the grounds immediately bringing the entire show to an end. When contacted on why he didn't turn up for the show at Semuga Grounds Bebe Cool said, he was not aware of the show. He said none of the organizers contracted him to perform in Kiboga at Semuga grounds. But Jose Chameleon says that he left for Kampala when because the organizers were not transparent. Chameleon said that he couldn't tolerate the shame before his eager fans, that's why he decided to leave.
