A postmortem report released by Mulago Hospital has exonerated the police in the previously alleged murder of Ibrahim Ssengendo who died in riots staged by Makerere university students.
The deceased was killed early this month during protests that were staged by Makerere university students against Retake fees.
The post mortem report prepared on November 11, by Dr. Nabadda and Dr. Nekesa ruled out a possibility of bullet shots.
The report indicates there were no entry and exit wounds. Bullets are not known to cause depressions.
The report said that the late Sengendo died of extensive bleeding under the scalp after he fell off from a boda motorcycle at Nakulabye and was stampeded upon by rioting students.
Police spokesperson Asuman Mugenyi said that police investigations have proved that the anti riot police never discharged any bullet.
The family of the late Sengendo has been threatening to sue Government over the death of their son.
